Reference price and lowest annual price
Electricity plans must now be compared to a government reference price. This makes it easier to compare energy plans across the market in each region. The reference price comparison and annual estimate is calculated based on an average usage customer in this region but does not include conditional discounts (such as Pay on Time or Direct Debit discounts), solar feed-in credits, concessions / rebates or other fees. The lowest annual price is also estimated based on the average usage customer in this area, including our conditional discounts (when you pay on time with direct debit). Unfortunately, ACCC guidelines do not permit us to display the lowest annual price with our discounts as a comparison to the reference price. Your actual energy bill may be significantly different to these estimates and will depend on your actual electricity usage, when you use electricity and if you have solar. Customers that always pay on time with direct debit may consider using the lowest annual price when comparing energy plans.
