Reference Price (VDO)
Electricity plans must be compared to a Victorian Default Offer (VDO) set each year by the Essential Services Commisison to make it easier to compare energy plans across the market in each region. The VDO is calculated based on a customer consuming 10,000 kWh per year on a single rate tariff in this region and does not include conditional discounts, solar feed-in credits, concessions / rebates or other fees. Your actual energy bill may be significantly different and will depend on your actual electricity usage, when you use electricity and if you have solar.
