Ausgrid’s ‘Energy Storage as a Service (ESaaS) Add-on‘ offers discounted rates and access to local solar generation through its network of community batteries. Diamond Energy has partnered with Ausgrid to share this value back to community members through a special trial Network Tariff with discounted network costs.

Diamond Energy’s ESaaS Add-on provides credits to eligible residential and small business customers, derived from the difference between Ausgrid’s existing TOU Tariff, and its new Local-Use-of-System Tariff (LUOS), relative to each customer’s grid usage. The LUOS tariff is designed to benefit properties by reducing network charges when electricity from a community battery is used.

Ausgrid has estimated these savings to be approximately $200 per year for Residential properties and $500 for Small Business sites, depending on your usage.
