We have been supporting renewable energy across Australia for over 20 years and we’re just beginning.
We deliver more electricity sourced from renewables to the grid than our customers consume.
By becoming a customer, you can support sustainable and affordable energy.
Our Tatura biogas generation facility was commissioned in 2007 and is one of the foundation generators in our renewable generator portfolio.
Organic rich wastewater from Tatura’s local community and thriving local food processing industry (including Tatura Milk’s production factory) flows into Goulburn Valley Water’s Tatura Wastewater Treatment Plant, producing a methane-rich biogas from the anaerobic digestion process. The biogas is captured and cleaned as the fuel source for the generator, and the renewable electricity is fed into the national grid.
With a number of years of continuous and successful operation of our Tatura and Shepparton biogas generation facilities in Northern Victoria, we continue to value the close relationship and support of Goulburn Valley Water, our long term partner and host.
Along with our Shepparton biogas generation facility, this project highlights our long term involvement and commitment to renewable energy and regional areas.
