Flexible Pricing for Victorian customers

From mid-September 2013, the Victorian Government introduced flexible pricing for Victorian electricity customers who have a time of use smart meter. This enables you to choose the best pricing structure to suit your personal usage profile.

What you need to know

Changing to flexible pricing is optional and only available to Victorian electricity customers who have a time of use smart meter. You must advise us if you would like to change to flexible pricing.

Flexible pricing means that different rates will apply at different times of the day, with lower rates during off-peak and shoulder times and higher rates during peak times.

Before 31st March 2015 you can opt to change from a flexible pricing tariff to your previous tariff, if you have not changed retailer or address since the tariff was allocated to you.

After 31st March 2015 you may not be able to revert to your previous tariff, but there will be a flat rate tariff available to you. In some circumstances, like if you have installed a solar system, the flat rate tariff will not be available to you.
