Diamond Energy Plays Key Role in Property Development of the year 2011
The ANZ centre was named the Victorian Development of the Year at the Property Council’s 2011 Innovation and Excellence Awards.
Diamond Energy is proud of it’s key role in;
- Supplying all the construction works on site with Diamond Energy’s own Accredited Renewable Electricity
- Connecting the full site to the state electricity grid, including:
- 138kW of solar panels
- Roof mounted wind turbines
- ~3.5MW trigeneration plant
For approximately a year and a half, throughout the construction of the building, Diamond Energy worked with Bovis Lend Lease to ensure the necessary energy was supplied to build the centre and then to connect the building and enable the integration of the onsite renewable energy with the electricity grid.
The Collins Street building, which was designed by Hassell and Lend Lease Design, and built by Bovis Lend Lease, is the largest single-tenanted commercial building Australia.
An accredited six-star Green Star building, the ANZ headquarters includes environmental features such as solar power, wind turbines, tri-generation, blackwater recycling, a green roof, river cooling and underfloor air-conditioning.
Diamond Energy continues to be at the forefront of delivering sustainable development solutions for all Australians.
